Missile Defenders do have a parachute animation. As have Pathfinders and Col. Burton (as have Red Guards, Tank Hunters, Hackers and Lotus).

Thing is you can make lvl 1 more attractive, but 2 & 3 will never be chosen ever.
Proposal: remove lvl 1 and 3
Thought I answered already, put some MDs in it, maybe Pathis on level 3?
Maybe decrease timer as well.
Will add strats if used more frequently, which is good.
Pathfinders are interesting, because that could be an alternative to "unlocking" them without having to spend a genpoint on them.

What about Infgen Paradrop?
Would require an engine change to support it, but in C&C 3, the "Bloodhounds" ability airlifts in regular war factory units, but as rank 1 veterans, which is a nice touch.

that is a nice setup, i do think level 3 would be picked for 8 MDs, i think adding Pathfinders is too much

20 Rangers are worth 4500 12 Rangers + 8 Rocket Men are worth 5100
Ranger and MD also yield the same amount of XP (20) when killed, so in that respect, they are interchangeable.

If there are more use cases for the Paradrop then I think that speaks for this change. China can still defend it, by parking 1 or 2 Gattlings, Minigunners near the Airfield for example. To me it reads like it would add tactical depth, which makes the game effectively richer for it.

It's only 2 MDs, they can be shut down with one gat, possibly before landing, A10 is a safer option

Pretty sure they can be yeah, although it's a small window since they drop so fast
