Server Crashes after about 10 minutes
I've had this working for some time now, but recently I've been running into a situation where after a period of time, the server will crash the container, and the whole docker service will restart. It's usually after 5 minutes but it runs no longer than 30 minutes. Everything seems fine, I can login and play. But eventually it'll fall over. The base OS of the host is Ubuntu 24.10. It's running as a VM on a Mac Mini M2.
I've tried a bunch of things. I've increased the RAM available to the VM. I've capped the MaxMemory on the environment variables to 1GB. I purged the world thinking it was corrupt. Then I purged the whole Minecraft directory and rebuilt it (using the other instructions and manually downloading the dependencies that fail to download). It all leads to the same result.
I've attached the crash log. It's basically the same thing every time. hs_err_pid16.log
Mine also blew up on my mac mini in the same way, but running in docker desktop.
I ended up going with itzg, and using their plugin download function to grab Geyser and Floodgate, and that’s been very stable for me. I feel like I have more handles to do stuff as well. This image was really good for me at the time, but I think my performance is better now.
