Midnight Club 3 black screens after installing remastered gta controls

Hi, ive got no plugins installed except for gta remastered controls v2 and gta native resolution patch, everytime i want to play midnight club i have to go in and change my game.txt or else itll just black screen upon launch, any tricks to fix this? thanks!
