Well that's unfortunate then.

I was able to successfully downgrade the settings app, and I'm running 1.0.6.0.UMXMIMX

Does it otherwise tell you to go to Mi Community or result in a similar unexpected error?

Can you dump the APK file of your Settings app?

It could be a device specific issue. Since I'm unable to do "SMS activation" as well as receive OTA updates. Will investigate it further.
