UI Request: Queue Page

Open KyleTryon opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Component Type

Full Page

Component Location

src/pages/app/queue.tsx

What is the component's purpose?

The queue page will allow users to view all currently scheduled content. There are two ways that content can be scheduled: either it is directly scheduled to be posted at a specific time, or it is added to a queue that posts X times per day.

chrome_HYevhz20k2

General Page Requirements:

  • View all scheduled content in a timeline fashion
    • Accommodate showing time-scheduled posts, perhaps in their own view.
  • Allow for editing content
    • Scheudle queued content
    • Move scheduled content to queue
    • Edit post content
    • "Move to top of the queue"

Queue Config

  • Users need a way to automatically manage and post on an automated basis.
    • We need a solution that is simple but gives control.
    • Possible Options:
      • Select X times per day
      • Select Specific times for each day of the week

More?

Any other features we may need for this page? Or other considerations for designs?

Hello KyleTryon, please can I work on this issue?

BachAmadou avatar Sep 11 '22 22:09 BachAmadou

Added you to the Assignees @BachAmadou, would love the help. Thanks!

Edit: Wanted to add, that I like for us to work collaboratively, so if others would like to join in, you absolutely can!

ok, thanks for adding me. Please I have some questions: so I read the README file and from what I understand there is not going to be a code contribution for now, it will be only on the design aspect? So should I just make the disign using for example figma and submit the photo? or how to you suggest I can go about it and create the design?

Exactly 👍. I haven't worked out the best way for us to do this collaboratively on GitHub yet, kind of trying it out here. I think for now we'll share what ever we can here as an image upload in this issue, be it a figma, wireframe sketch, or what ever we can do planning-wise before committing to code.

Hi Kyle, I made a first draft and I would like to know, do I have to fork the project and add the design and my a pull request? thanks

Hey @BachAmadou 👋

I think for design assets we might want to work out of issues here directly. The design and plans won't ship with the product and so I am thinking likely should not be part of the repository.

What type of assets did you create? Would screenshots work here? Appreciate the help. Also looking for ways to better accommodate design contributions.

ok, I used figma to create the page the user will gets after clicking on: 'Queue' to see all the social medias they use. And they can click on each of them to see details about scheduled: meeting, webinars, post articles, etc.

I did some design thinking and I came up with this. iPad Pro 11_ - 1 The queue text button has a notification icon that reminds users of their planned post/s. It becomes highlighted when clicked, showing all the lists of scheduled posts from different social media waiting to be posted in a time-based order as scheduled by a user.

For each scheduled post on the queue which is labeled ,users can click and edit to make corrections to a text or reschedule to a different time frame.
Create post features a social media button with a drop down icon that gives users access to post on a preferred social media eg twitter ,facebook, linkdin, etc.

iPad Pro 11_ - 2 iPad Pro 11_ - 3 The schedule icon when clicked on a post takes users to the schedule page. Here, users can schedule according to their preferred date and time and also allows users to repeat a post concurrently in second/s,minute/s,hour/s,day/s, week/s, month/s, and year/s.
