Forum sidebar preview gets cut off
Describe the bug The preview on the left sidebar for the first post after the pinned threads gets shifted to the right and looks strange. It appears that the css box for the "thread_left_cont" class extends into the sidebar links and cuts off the beginning of the summary. This box only extends to the left for the first post after the pinned threads, other threads have the box contained within the summary area.
Expected behavior The preview should match what it used to be and what the others look like: the box is contained within the visible area and the summary starts at the beginning on the thread.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to a discussion forum
- (Unknown if it's required to have pinned threads to cause the bug)
- Click on any post
- See error in the first thread summary after the pinned threads

Additional context Possibly introduced by #5726
Adding "width: 50%;" to the "thread-left-cont" css class makes the threads display correctly, but might not address what's actually causing this bug.
Is this still able to be reproduced? I was unable to reproduce it when I just tried on macOS/Safari.
I don't think the bug itself has gone away but I've been unable to reproduce it as well. Maybe Barb can look at the thread referenced in this post (I don't have access to the course anymore) and give the content that might have caused it.
