High ping only in games
I tried OpenVPN and OpenConnect. I use a vpn mainly to bypass blocking voice chat in games. OpenConnect worked perfectly for about 2 days except that it would disconnect me every now and then once. The ping was nearly identical to my ping when I didn't use a vpn. OpenVPN on the other hand was different. Whenever I started a game, my ping would shoot up. I get off the game, it would go back to normal. 2 days later, OpenConnect started behaving the same. I tried LTE as well, same thing. I also tried setting it up Streisand on a different server (I used DigitalOcean and then I tried Vultr).
I know this might not be relatable but the whole thing started as soon as I set the Vultr server (I know it doesn't make sense because they're not connected to each other in any form)
I also can't use OpenVPN with stunnel for some reason. It just never connects, but direct OpenVPN works fine.
Could it be that the government figured out I'm using VPN and they're intensifying their DPI on internet? It wouldn't make sense though because I tried LTE as well as a different server. They can't have linked them all to me that fast.
Is there anything I can upload or do to troubleshoot this?
