IPv6 support for the server

I have seen some request about us being able to also have our server to have a possibility to be hosted via Ipv6

Any update on this? It's been 7 years and having a fallback to IPv6 would be really handy in cases where IPv4 becomes unavailable or has issues at times. This would also improve response times and network performance, but that's a whole different debate outside the scope of this suggestion.
