I used https://crowdin.com/page/open-source-project-setup-request for open-source projects i18n (free) and not sure whether we can also use that for this project. @cruhl
Hello. I am available to help with the UI localization in Italian language. In case you might be interested, InvokeAI is currently using Weblate for the localizations and it works very well: https://hosted.weblate.org/ I am currently in charge of the Italian localization of InvokeAI and Automatic1111 SD Web UI.
We're open to ideas on how to implement this in a sustainable way, what are the preferred internationalization techniques for folks nowadays?
As mentioned above, I believe it's best to use Weblate or Crowdin. I prefer Weblate, as I find the UI more intuitive and less cluttered.

I would be happy to help with the Crowdin integration. It's free of charge for open-source projects. The translation sync can be fully automated using the Crowdin GitHub Action or the native GitHub integration. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions 🙂

emm - good point, this needs to be clarified @Andrulko may be able to answer.
Crowdin is very flexible in this area and I do confirm that we would be more than happy to grant a free unlimited Open Source license. Since we are here, there is no need to leave a license request. Please create a project in Crowdin and let me know the project name, I will do the rest 🫡
