Add reflections to standard shader
Other game engines support more shader options like the blender game engine, unity. The sphere reflect that you code is very nice for inclusion in the build-in standart shader.
I experimented with dynamically generated cube maps but they are ungodly slow. There will be statically loaded reflections so there is at least some support for it.
In my opinion, new shaders are not the main priority right now.
First: The major issue with this feature are not GLSL related. The shader is written down in about 10 minutes. The problem is the work that needs to be done to get the cube map rendered in a fast and accurate manner.
Second: Of course are the GLSL shaders important! They calculate most of what you can actually see on your screen!
