Significant/high cpu usage when running and not minimized

%CPU 27.96 pomotroid (of one core)

When paused, stopped, or running minimized the usage is insignificant as expected.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz Linux 5.3.18-150300.59.60-preempt KDE 5.24.4 OpenSUSE 15.4
