Dual printer head not registering

firmware 1.15.21. Connected dual extrusion module, turned on printer, blue light comes on in modules. No confirmation or safety notes on touchscreen as stated in manual. When go into calibration or control screen, the screen goes black and no longer functions. In the settings screen there is no GUIDE or 3D PRINTING tabs under advanced settings as there is with the single head module installed.
