Goodbye
Hey all,
Today is my last day at Snapchat. Thanks for all your support over the years. When we made KeyDB we wanted to prove that cache's should have great performance and I think we succeeded. Now there are many options, including Valkey which is fully open source and based on my testing has matched KeyDB's performance.
I'm not sure what Snap will do with the project, but I think that development effort should move to Valkey moving forward as they have clear momentum and are the most up to date.

@JohnSully You'll be missed! I have such found memories of when we met discussing https://github.com/JohnSully/modssl as well as our outing in Toronto. You definitely pushed the caching space forward. Best of luck!
@JohnSully sorry to hear about you leaving. Looking @ valkey, pitty it's missing your Multi-Master active-active replication , that would be a great add-on
Hi @JohnSully, it has been a pleasure collaborating with you since 2019. As we began our collaboration, I was fascinated by the ideas we discussed. I believe that we did the right thing by pushing distributed caching technology to the next level. This eventually led to Valkey's boom which benefited all distributed caching users. In this regard, you play a very significant role. Wishing you the best of luck and staying in touch.
thanks for you contribution, but sadly, valkey doesn't have a tiered storage(like flash feature of keydb) yet...
