Onboarding: update the reset system explanation page in the installation wizard
Problems:
the current page is not even a tutorial in itself: all that the user can do on it now is to press the only clear “skip step” button :)
- The page itself is quite empty and does not very well explain to the user what resets are and why they are important
- New users who are not familiar with termenology have a hard time understanding what Yaw-reset is, how it differs from Mounting Reset and Full Reset and why it is important.
Suggestion of solutions:
- rename yaw-reset to something less mathematical and more understandable for ordinary users: for example "avatar drift reset", "drift fix", "drift tap tap", "drift tap", "anti drift tap", "position fix ", "avatar position fix", or some others :) Suggest ;)
- Update the page layout to a more readable one, now the text on it is scattered on different sides, which makes it difficult to read.
- Make the page itself more interactive, consisting of three steps and explaining how and why each of the resets exists, visually demonstrating that if your character model has left, you can return it back simply by using yaw-reset, and if you connected additional slimes and other cases related to full reset, you need to use full reset.
- The user will be able to continue installing slimes only after he has made both types of resets by clicking on the corresponding buttons to associate their icons and name with their function. It can also be shown that alternatively, you can activate the same functions with a tap reset.
We also need to draw better icons for all kinds of reset, that better explain what they do.
- Make this guide unskippable in the wizard (???), because both functions are critical for using the software.
