Annotations & Highlights
Was: Highlighting of Text By User
I'm interested in creating educational textbook apps.
PDF files already allow annotation so one can add highlighting, underlining, etc. to PDF books in various apps. A good example of this is the Goodreader app.
Is there any way to allow this using HTML for books? It would be neat to add as a feature for Baker sometime in the future if possible.
You surely could, it's just not something that comes right out of the box with Baker Framework, for now. But I think it's an interesting feature worth considering. :)
anyone come up with a solution for this?
We scheduled it, but it's quite low priority for now, if someone wants to pick this feature up just talk with us. :)
want to throw in the concept of openbookmarks, or a social margin, like *openmargin does: http://openmargin.com
surely not the thing for baker to have out of the box — but I like the idea of sharing and using content together — since I am not the only one reading that baker book.
Hi all,
I seem to remember reading a solution for this - with paint splat icons for selecting the highlight colour, yet now I can't find it.
Am I going crazy? Did I dream it? Was it somewhere (or even for something) else?
Thanks,
Aidan
With rangy library can accomplish this there a module that saves highlighted.
