Need to replace hyphen dashes with proper dashes
Pulling this from an old NMA post:
Okay, I've done a second pass of making sure all my files have converted quotation marks and double quotation marks to their "dumb" versions, and converting elipsis and ". . ." to "..."
I am wondering, what do you think about slashes and dashes? A proper "en" or "em" dash in typography should be used when you are doing - like this one right now - the sidetracks or extra info inserts. The proper long dashes definitely look better. The short ones aren't even a dash at all, they're hyphens, which is why it looks crappy when used as a dash
Here's the symbols:
slash / stroke / solidus ( /, ⁄ )
dash ( ‒, –, —, ― )
EDIT: Okay, I checked and Fallout is able to display the longer dash. — is the symbol. I think at some point I'd like to make all the dashes use the — symbol when appropriate.
