It would be nice if further down the line, we had the ability to adjust system parameters from the Screenly menu - i.e. IP Manual/DHCP, Hostname, and password protect the interface also.

(This should go in enhancements - apologies I don't know how to shift it myself or if there's a wishlist somewhere!)

The 'password protect the interface' bit is really important, IMHO.
