[Feature Request]: Rename 'master' branch to 'main'

In recent years we've seen a trend of 'master' branches being renamed to 'main' for terminology reasons; so I think we should do the same here! Lemme know your thoughts; it shouldn't break anything major.
Proposed Solution
Rename our 'master' branch to 'main'
If you have a local clone, you can update it by running the following commands.
git branch -m master main git fetch origin git branch -u origin/main main git remote set-head origin -a
Alternatives Considered
Industry standard is generally changing to 'main' now as well as the Github default, so I figure we could do that to stay consistent. Lemme know your thoughts!

Considering we don't do it, it gives the repository a slightly worse look because of the connotations, and serves to make our project look more outdated.
Considering we do it, it gives the repository a way worse look because we renamed a branch due to a woke idea. There is nothing wrong with the term master, if you don't have anything better to do then go find a job or smth.
Do you believe that daemon processes are evil? (after all they are demons) Do you believe that child processes are illegal? (child labor) Do you believe that 'killing' a child process is inhuman?
those terms have nothing to do with their non-tech counterparts, and it is dumb to apply the same connotations to them
PS: I am fine with main as the main branch name, but only when creating a new repository from scratch.
Renaming a completely fine branch for woke reasons is idiotic
I would be in support of changing the "master" branch to "main". This is a somewhat touchy subject (as evidenced by the comment above), but I think it would help modernize the repo.
Plus, it is more common for the main branch to be called... well "main" nowadays, and I often get confused when it's called "master"
P.S. It would also save me from typing two characters. I am incredibly lazy lol.

For the record I am not against main, what I am against is doing it solely because people get offended by things they should not get offended from.

I doubt they were actually offended or annoyed by that term, they merely suggested change so more people would feel welcomed here.
I highly disagree with that of course, if you don't feel welcome bc of that word then you have other issues to solve first.
But attacking others can only downplay your words.
Being respectful is rule number 1 when you want others to take you seriously.

I'm personally in the boat of this woke nonsense is just created and regurgitated by bored ass people who can find issue with just about anything. Having said that, I don't care what the decision is, love you all.
