OSD info problem with (Arctic Fuse + TMDB Helper + Elementum)
Hi, I'm using the wonderful jacktook with tmdb helper and elementum. The problem is that sometimes it takes information from the previous movie (poster, plot, clearlogo etc) or mixes information. When I do it directly (tmdbh + elementum) that doesn't happen. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.
It is fixed now, update to latest version
I have updated and now I get an error before the torrent listing.
Only in movies, in episodes it works well.
Oh, it is because you are using tmdb helper addon, I will fix it.
@daviddia5 can you download the repository as a zip file and install on kodi and test if everything is working fine now?
Ok, I've tried it and the list is now displayed. But it keeps failing or mixing Information in the OSD.
The failure occurs from the home widgets, from the addon directly it seems to work fine.
I have tried with Artic Horizon 2 and Artic Fuse 2 skins, and the same thing happens but always from the home widgets.
Episodes play correctly from the home widget.
@Coffelius can you take a look at this as you are using Artic Horizon Skin?
I’ve checked it out, but I have no clue where the issue comes from. The problem occurs when using TMDB Helper with the Elementum player. However, everything works perfectly with the JackTorr player.
I find it curious that, in the case of Elementum, it is provided with the TMDB identifier, which could make it easier to complete the information by Elementum itself that is supposed to support it. However, JackTorr doesn’t need it (get provided with a TMDB id) and simply takes the information from the playback item (which is the same for both JackTorr and Elementum).
In the meantime, @daviddia5, how about trying JackTorr on your setup to see if you have a better experience? I suspect that finding a workaround to get Elementum working as expected might take some time.
Unfortunately I don't have the option to use JackTorr. The funny thing is that if I go to any tmdb helper category (for example trending movies) and play from there it works perfectly. The problem is when I do it from the home widgets.
It seems as if something from the previous movie will be left in cache, but nevertheless the trakt scrobbling goes perfectly.

Can I install TorrServer and JackTorr on a Google TV Streamer?
It seems possible to install since TorrServer has a version for Android, and JackTorr should work the same on any platform where Kodi runs. However, I haven’t tried it.

I was able to install it on Google TV and I like it! I no longer have that bug and it seems to be better than elementum in speed and everything. 😀
Elementum announced that development stopped about 3 months ago, with around 100 open issues and unmerged PRs. For compatibility, it’s not a bad idea to keep it for users transitioning from this add-on and as an additional option. However, it seems unlikely there will be much improvement while JackTorr remains such a superior option that is working like a charm.
