Hello @sfsf-xweb-sh no timeline yet.

We are carefully reviewing the requests for new components in the light of the Core Controls concept that envisions to introduce a Tag component that covers the features of several other existing components in SAPUI5 - the Badge, the Object Status and the Generic Tag itself. So, if we start developing a Generic Tag now, we can end up with a component that later should be changed significantly to comply to the new Core Controls concept, which is not final yet.

If you are new to the Core Controls concept , I suggest checking this with your Design Team, they probably are aware of it. Also, I suggest they connect with the central SAP Design team (Kai Richter, Gerrard Kean for example) to align on SFSF requirements towards Generic Tag component.

I will still forward the request to the team, most familiar with the Generic Tag components as owners of the control equivalent in SAPUI5 to move on the discussion.
