[meta] Concerns re 'rust non-free-compatible trademark'
This issue is to acknowledge that concerns have been raised re 'rust non-free-compatible trademark' and its potential implications on the GCC/Rust project as well as GCC proper. This issue is not directly related to the technical development executed in this GitHub project.

@bjorn3: Hrm, that URL does work for me. I do get a 404 if accessing via HTTPS; but this is plain HTTP (unless your browser is doing something funny maybe?).
The pipermail archives have the disadvantage that they don't follow month boundaries.

I see. I have my browser configured to attempt to upgrade all connections to https. ("HTTPS-Only Mode" in firefox. I believe chrome has a similar option.) Only if the connection doesn't work at all with https will it suggest to show the http version. Even using http:// manually won't show the http version if https works.
Disabling it just for that site didn't work. Disabling it globally did work and redirected me to https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg98463.html.
