[Enhancement] Log changes made to database

Open jonk999 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

I don't think there is anything at the moment, but is it possible to add a log feature that lists changes made to DB, etc? When the application did a scan when I opened it recently, the info bubble came up with how many new images were added, but also reported one was removed as no longer found. I wasn't expecting this as can't recall deleting any images. I looked in Recycle Bin but there were no files matching the folders the app scans. As such, it would be good to know when the DB is updated like this to have a record of what changes were made. Could just be for x number of days, etc. Not sure how easy it would be to implement or the appetite for such a feature.

In 1.5.x and below, the default behavior was to remove files that did could not be found.

As of 1.6, this is no longer the case. Images that were deleted outside of DT, or in drives that cannot be be accessed (such as removable storage) will not longer be deleted, and will appear as "unavailable"

No worries. Thanks for the info.

Is there a way to filter for images which are listed as 'unavailable'?

Not currently. Since I only know when an image is unavailable by actively trying to load it, it would be a bit different from nomal metadata, i.e. it's not "searchable" unless I check if each image is actually there, at some point in time.
