Can not view my image's metadata (PNGInfo) when using upscalers.
I found this app about a week ago and I love what it has to offer. I really would like to use it so I have been trying to find a way to get it to work when using upscalers with comfyui.
If I do not use any upscalers it reads the metadata perfectly, but once I use an upscaler the only data fields that populate are the date and dimensions(upscalled Dimensions).
I have tried all my upscalers thinking it could be just the one I use, but they all have the same result. The only way I have found to get the metadata to populate into the fields was to use comfy-image-saver
But I dont really care to have all the nodes broken up in my workflow. Is there something im doing wrong or a better way to get this to work?

When you use an upscaler to generate a new image, I believe the old data will be overwritten because you're creating a new image essentially and you won't get detailed info.
Possible, but 2 other apps that I use are able to read the metadata just fine after upscaling. Although they are not as nice as DissusionToolkit or have the catalog option.

I would like to know what upscalers are saving info on the png files since most of them do not. i think you should open the upscaled PNG files in a notepad and see if the PUNchunk INFO is present or not. if you can read it in notepad then you should be able to read it in this TOOLKIT. I have found that the upscalers do not save any generation info into the PNG hence you can't see it since it is not there. this tool does not generate any DESCRIBE information on its own which is a nice addition to have in future updates. So I was testing this on my second computer with a fresh install and you guys are correct, the metadata did not change with the upscalers. Went back to my main PC and im still having the same issue with any of the upscalers, no metadata. So I am going to troubleshoot that and see what was causing the problem and report back once I have it figured out. Thanks for the info to help figure it out. Ill check out the PUNchunk too and keep you posted. Thank!
