@engelgabriel @ggazzo This is still a problem in 5.1.3....
5.1.4, the problem is still there and we are quite used to it. I miss this feature very much.
Is there a workaround? We are pretty used to have that feature...
Also hit by this after our SaaS provider bumped us to the latest version. Interestingly, issue tracker links seem to work fine in threads.

Technically, you can click the "Reply in Thread" button and access the tracker link through there. Not sure if this qualifies as an actual workaround ...
Apparently Rocket.Chat decided to drop this feature:

If anyone has an idea of any workaround, would be great.
@tassoevan @sampaiodiego @dudanogueira @engelgabriel Instead of fixing the bug / broken stuff within the new message parser you just decide to drop / deprecate the features? For real?! Could you at least provide a statement here? At the moment we're not upgrading to a 5.x release due to this bug. Also we'd then knew, if we have to look for alternatives... Thanks.
@danel1 It's not a matter of "we don't want to solve a bug". There is a design flaw involved: is #123 a reference to issue #123 or a mention to the channel "123"? As the usage of issue tracker links is fairly limited to a small number of users, the feature should probably make a comeback as an integration app.
We too deeply rely on this feature and would love to get the links back. The argument of @tassoevan fits in the first view, but as this feature is already switchable 'Issue tracker links: On/Off', it's not more than putting a note to the option "if you enable, you can't link to threads anymore". From my side: please please please bring it back. Optional: define double hashtag '##' as reference to issues.
For now we are using this app https://github.com/Dimsday/WordReplacer
To avoid conflicts channels can not have names only with numbers.
How is it going with the newest 6.x.x versions? Still no links? We are using this feature for Redmine issues.
Still not working as of Version 6.2.8.
