The build is broken on the latest Android Studio.

Also, you say the repository is the single source of truth, but the two way data binding doesn't use it. I was trying to learn how to do two way databinding, but this example doesn't show it.

Appreciate what is here, but it's not clear enough to use as an example. A two way data binding class member in a repository would be helpful for me.
