FanControl fails to find all the motherboard sensors after close-open cycle
Describe the bug When the FanControl is closed in tray and reopened, it presents an error showing that all the sensors associated with the motherboard could not be found.
The only thing that helps is the full system restart.
Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries? log.txt

This probably occurs after sleep?
Nope. I simply launch Fan Control on startup -> quit it in tray (right click - close) -> launch it again.
My PC never goes into sleep mode

Do you have Windows Defender blocking FanControl.sys?
Interesting. Never seen Windows Defender having issues with FC - apart from when there was a warning thanks to the monitoring lib throwing virus alerts a couple weeks back.
I've thrown the whole FC folder into Windows Defender exclusion list ever since
