Documentation improvement proposal

Recently, there was a proposal by @eliocamp to improve the documentation during the R Project Sprint (https://contributor.r-project.org/r-project-sprint-2023/projects/documentation/). Maybe someone will be interested in contributing.

Best of luck to them. Some of the examples in this section are extremely similar to issues that I've listed in this document, so I'm certainly eager to see them fixed.
