Investigate performance of allowing shared cache mode.

Open siscia opened this issue 6 years ago • 8 comments

It can be quite beneficial to allow all the database to use the shared cache model.

It would allow several interesting use cases.

@siscia can I contribute to this?

I would never turn down someone who wants to contribute.

However I kinda unsure what I meant here... Share cache model is for multiple connection towards a single database and at the moment it is not yet supported by RediSQL.

It is a planned development but it is not yet there.

If you want to work on something similar, I would suggest you to actually enable multiple connections on the same database. I can expand it further if you want :)

I will write about it between later today and tomorrow!

Sorry for not being quick but can't do much more!

Unfortunately it is an extremely messy code base. And not the best rust at all!

So if you got questions or doubts about it, please let me know, so I can improve both the code structure and the documentation :)

Man, I won't be able to write much also today. I will try tomorrow.

However, if you tried to explored the codebase already and you got any question I would be glad to guide you :)

Hey,

Didn't get much time to explore. Starting right away as weekend is there. Hope I get a good hold on your code base.
