FR: Jump to the day of record

Open Dina-desoki opened this issue 8 months ago • 3 comments

Hi, How about adding the option to jump to the date of the record?

When something seems off about a record, I manually go to the date of the record in the records tab. This is fine for a couple of records but a very long boring process for many records.

Hello! Can you explain a bit your usecase? There would this button be placed?

One example use-case:

  • I have a "Meal" activity used to track my meals. I take note of the contents of my Meal in the comments.
  • Every week, I want to check that I added a comment to each Meal.
  • I go to the "Stats" tab, filter by activity = Meal and comment = no comment.
  • I see that there is one record without comment.
  • I click the "1 Record" button to open the list of bad records.
  • I open the record.
  • At this point, I could type the contents of my Meal but let's say that I forgot and that I need more context to remember.
  • I click the new magic button Go to record date.
  • It switches to the "Record list" tab on the correct date.
  • I now have enough context to fix the missing comment.
  • I can still go back to my previous search in the Stats tab. Now this is tricky to achieve (maybe instead of switching tabs, it opens a new popup/pane with the record list ?).

Most likely the new button "Go to record date" should be inside the Actions section in the Record.
