Crashing after reading single file
Problem Description
Hi, I recently got a weird crash without error log on VidCoder, right after opening a single file. I see the cursor loading for a moment, then VidCoder just closes. Not a freeze or error message, it just closes. I was able to copy the logs just before.
I've only switched some hardware on my PC, the issue is roughly since then.
You'll find two logs of trying a larger and smaller file below. The C drive (where VidCoder is installed) is quite full, but got space, the video drives got plenty space.
Also installed Handbrake to test out, it works, just compiles slower with similar settings.
Recent changes to the system:
- Upgraded PSU and graphics card
- cleaned all graphic drivers and reinstalled new one

That's odd. If it throws an error from VidCoder's code it should show an error message.
Try it with HandBrake. VidCoder uses HandBrake for the core encoding engine, so if the issue reproduces there it's an issue with their code and you can ask them for help. If it doesn't reproduce with HandBrake, we know it's a VidCoder issue.
Equivalent versions: VidCoder Stable ↔ HandBrake Stable VidCoder Beta ↔ HandBrake Nightly
Handbrake worked as normaly, it is just a slower encoding (even with the same settings). Tried the 7.8 beta of VidCoder now, that works.
The beta uses a different save file for presets, right? (I had to re-enter my settings) I might have a clue to the issue: with the hardware change NVENC encoder got lost from my system, I was using H264 in the active preset though, nevertheless could the saved presets cause the application to crash?
The Beta uses a different file to save presets, but should copy from Stable the first time it's run. And not sure what you're asking exactly, but yes you might only get a crash when using some specific encoding settings.
