Vidcoder latest beta is converting subs from UTF-8 to ass
Hi i have some videos on my pc that the size is wrong so im using vidcoder to convert them to the right size i noticed all the videos i am dong are all utf-8 but vidcoder latest beta is not leaving them as they are its converting them ass format. I am using windows 10. If you need more information let me know.
VIDCoder is based on Handbrake and yes it sucks but handbrake does convert UTF-8 subtitle to ASS format. I am not a VIDCoder developper. I am just an enthusiasm user. I have already asked many times on handbrake FORUM to tell them to not convert the UTF-8 and the response was always negative. I was told ASS is more powerful. In wich way. can't tell.
In other terms, you are stuck with this. Personally, UTF-8 is always more standard than ASS. I do confirm ASS works good with PLEX.

Would be nice if VIDCODER can have an option to PASSTROUGH the SUBTITLE. In other WORDS, to let the SRT intact.
VidCoder exposes the functionality of HandBrake. To get that feature, you'd need to ask the HandBrake team to add it.
