Cant encode 4K
Hello! After the new stable Update v 5.13 when i add a 4K movie to encode i get an error! After this version i make over 100 encodes for 4K movies with the same settings!
Try it with HandBrake. VidCoder uses HandBrake for the core encoding engine, so if the issue reproduces there it's an issue with their code and you can ask them for help. If it doesn't reproduce with HandBrake, we know it's a VidCoder issue.
Equivalent versions: VidCoder Stable ↔ HandBrake Stable VidCoder Beta ↔ HandBrake Nightly

x265 [error]: picture dimensions are out of range for specified level
Under the Video Encoding tab, try changing Level to "Automatic". Looks like the resolution is too high to work for 4.0.
I still cant encode 4K Movies! I get the same error every time! I dont know why! I dont change nothing from my settings! I try again the old version and work perfect!
I was trying to tell you that you might be able to fix the issue, by changing the Level to "Automatic". Can you try that?

Hmm. It still got set to 4.0 when it ran the encode. Maybe there's an issue with the UI. Can I see a screenshot of the Level setting you've chosen?
I set it to Automatic and now working! But not giving me ETA time!

Well, it simply can't work at Level 4.0 since the picture dimensions exceed that standard. The HandBrake engine normally does input sanitation. You could see if it reproduces with them and ask them to try and change the level automatically to make the encode work. Though I'm honestly not sure if that's a desired outcome or not.
If i make my encodes to "Automatic" leve and not to "4.0" i will see differense to video quality ?
"Level" doesn't control video quality. It determines player compatibility. Some players can't handle a lot of data, so only support videos encoded with a lower Level. Specifying a lower level can let you try to make your videos more compatible with players.
Automatic isn't going to degrade your video quality.
FWIW, found this after running into the "x265 [error]: picture dimensions are out of range for specified level" issue using Handbrake 1.3.3 on Mac Catalina. Switching from "4.0" to "auto" did the trick.
