Installation issue

Open jontext88 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Update install head-sup. Previous updates up to and including v10.0 auto updated and restarted. 10.1 Beta has a new installer. It appeared to not install correctly but in fact required a system(PC) restart. it then completed it's install and started.

In 10.1 I updated to Velopack. Did it give an error message? Did it prompt to restart? What did the message say?

From memory ;

It did give an error message which at first made me think the installation had failed. I was about to revert back to 10.0.

Then I thought having read the changelog, that it may just be an installation finishing issue and decided to reboot my PC.

on reboot the installation resumed with some messages from the installer required a click or so to finish the installation.

This is recollection only so it's correct but some detail is bit fuzzy.
