How to handle failed transcodes
Feature details
Right now there's a global option for "Keep files from failed or stopped encodes". If an encode fails the file gets removed immediately.
If that option is not enabled, the failed or stopped files are left in place.
The context menu on the items in the Completed queue presents an option to "Clear failed".
I'm wondering if the "Clear failed" should behave like the "Clear succeeded" option. Should it then remove the files if the global option was not selected?
If the "Keep files from failed or stopped encodes" option wasn't selected, then the files would already be deleted at that point, right?
Right now the "Clear" options just refer to the logged Completed entries, and not the underlying files.
And should the context menu on a failed item have an option to open the source folder? There's an "Open Containing Folder" option, but it's grayed out.
I think that "Open Containing Folder" option is for the result file. Which doesn't exist because the encode failed. If you enable the option to keep failed files, that should be available and let you see the failed file.
