Audio problems with 5.1

Steps to reproduce

  1. Connect your 5.1 audio system
  2. In your drivers activate 5.1 audio
  3. Start Gothic 1 or Gothic 2
  4. Talk to any NPC in range
  5. Listen to the dialogue

Expected Result The dialogue audio should sound as crisp and clean as it does in the main game.

Actual Result On my 5.1 audio system, dialogue sounds are emitted by the subwoofer. Can someone confirm this behavior? It happens to me on Realtek driver 6.0.1.8010 the sound is very quiet as well. Using stereo headphones everything worked fine.
