Video player glitching

Steps to reproduce

Start playing an episode of anime.

Expected behavior

The player should work normal and respond when interacted with.

Actual behavior

First thing I want to say is I watch anime in 1.50x speed.

When I put an anime on to watch in the first 3 minutes the player works perfectly fine. Then after if I want to play the next episode or try and pause or do function the player offers it does not respond or takes about a minute to do the function. Then the only way to exit the episode is to close the application and reopen it. This happens on most anime I try to watch and sometimes turning off my wifi makes the player work like normal.
