Bug: Screen can go black with gestures enabled on photo

I looked and didn't see an issue open about this. I'm on Android 14 with the latest redreader from the play store. When viewing any picture, if you have gestures enabled on your phone (so no bottom bar), I can reliably swipe left from the very right of the screen (you have to do it without redreader bringing up the sidebar on the right side) and the screen will go black. You have to do this without completing the gesture, so when the gesture arrow comes up, without lifting your finger, slowly swipe back to the right so the gesture doesn't fully register. You then need to tap anywhere on the screen a second time. A black screen should come up with two scroll bars, one on the right and one on the bottom. You can't do anything from this screen so you have swipe to go back.
