Partybuffs
Can you make a partybuffs that runs off the default icons? That or make it default with new bard/cor buffs.

You're able to change any icons that you'd like by updating the file located in the icons folder. The file name is the buff id. i.e. 1.png is the weakness icon because buff id 1 is weakness. If there's any icons you don't like, you can manually replace them.
It's a tedious process, but you could use POLUtils to extract any of the status icons you'd like to use in place of the ones provided.
Could you link me to the utility or tell me where it is please.

Once you have the application open, you select 'FFXI Data Browser', then at the top select String Tables > English > Statuses. This will read from the FFXI Dat Files on your machine. It offers the ability to save the files to your disk in the PNG format. You will have to rename the files yourself to match the format above (buffId.png).

Which file extensions? If you're referencing the files at the POLUtils link, near the top there is a "releases" tab, which will have an Installer for the application.
