Maybe this PR #444 broke something 😛 .
For example ps_mbo is still used and necessary for PS 1.7.8.x . So I wonder if today the new updates of ps_mbo are still acknowledged for 1.7.8.x users .
So as I fear we might break something because we don't fully know the consequences of removing gamification (and any other old module) I prefer we don't do it, until we are sure this will bring no problem to old prestashop installations.
(so I did not see #444 but I think I would have refused it unless someone can confirm to me #444 will introduce no problems)

Can you check whether or not it is needed to keep https://github.com/PrestaShopCorp/gamification inside the list of prestashop/prestashop-modules ? If no, then we could remove it thanks to this pull request 😉
It might need you to explore a bit the system that does use this repository 😅
