DSC stops working if the language = normal text

This is not necessarily about the extension. If .txt, but I manually choose something other than normal text in the dropdown list, it's fine. If not .txt, say, .cpp, but I manually choose noraml text, DSC doesn't work either. Not sure why.

Sorry, but isn't it the same thing you reported in #186? Did something changed in that regard?
