Summary of the new feature / enhancement

It would be great to have tab complete for command such as put and get.

A Windows port of the NetBSD editline/libedit library would be useful for this, as that is what sftp uses for command-line editing and auto-completion on other platforms.

There appears to be one at https://github.com/michaeljclark/libedit

+1 for this.

Additionally, this might be a duplicate of #1986 in 2022, which in turn is a duplicate of #261 in 2016.

It seems that the former was simply ignored, and the latter was closed by a collaborator directly without much discussion or investigation.
