Will give this a proper look tomorrow, btw.
My take atm:
-
At the moment, there doesn't feel like there's enough here to make it a compelling read. All the technical bits feel like bumps in the road we figured out easily, and there's no overriding lesson or point for readers to take away – i.e. it was a big success because of 'x' or "this HUGE problem almost stopped us completely". There's no tension.
-
I don't feel 100% sure who this article is for right now.
Options:
-
We find a way to go deeper on something specific. Is there an interesting challenge we had to overcome that would make a compelling article in its own right?
-
Keep this article concept but go into more depth on everything.
-
Cut our losses and spike this.
Unless there's a clear idea for 1, option 3 is my preferred atm. This isn't a comment on the writing at all – I'm just not confident there's a compelling story to be told here.
Fair points @andyvan-ph, I don't think there is a massive problem they overcame (fortunately for them, unfortunately for me).
My thought on the audience for this article is engineers/technical product people who are thinking about EU hosting as well, provide some insight to them on our experiences and challenges. The depth may not be there to make it valuable to them though.
Maybe it is worth to spike it.

Yeah, this makes sense as a framing. This being the case, I think I'd drop the marketing stuff and go deeper on the technical bits, but only if there's more depth worth exploring. Your call on that as I'm not qualified to judge.

I don't think there is more to add here technical wise so I will just close.
