Lack of game version Blue (Japan)
Although there is a blue version corresponding to the green version (緑) in the international version, in fact, Japan has independently released a different blue version (青). Although there is a name conflict, I think this data should not be missing. Is there a way to solve this problem?
FYI: bulbapedia
Hi! I saw Bulbapedia, it seems a separate game. Maybe we could append an entry here: https://github.com/PokeAPI/pokeapi/blob/master/data/v2/csv/versions.csv
And the releative data in version_*.csv files. Pinging @jemarq04 to understand his opinion
I think that's definitely a fair point - and it looks like the API doesn't have entries for the Japanese versions of Red and Blue as well. There were some graphics changes between the Japanese and International releases, so it makes sense to have separate version groups in the database.
I suppose it becomes a question of how to implement. These new versions will have some data missing for some time (pokemon sprites, encounter data, learnsets, etc.) but we can definitely put it in. Are we content with placing these missed versions at the end after The Indigo Disk? Otherwise we'd have to shift all the version IDs down and carefully track where version IDs are used in other CSV files. That may get tricky.
If adding resources like red-japan, green, and blue-japan after the-indigo-disk in versions.csv is enough, I can easily get that in and fill in the necessary information.
Yes of course we can add them at the end of the file. No need to remap all the IDs.
If you could add in those games and work together that would be appreciated!
