Add page on community resources for open source software development
It might be helpful to add a page that lists a bunch of resources from the broader open source community. At the moment, I'm thinking of links presented in a talk by Daina Bouquin on preservation of scientific software.
Possible links include:
- Zenodo
- ORCiD
- CodeMeta file generator
- Citation File Format
- Copyright Guide for Scientific Software
- SSI/Jisc Guidance for Archiving Software
- GitHub - Zenodo integration for archiving software
- Software Citation Checklist
- In-text software citation examples
- OpenAstronomy packaging guide and template
- ReproZip
- Software Preservation Network & EaaSI
We could also link to different efforts:
- Python in Heliophysics Community
- Plasma Thesis Collection on Zenodo
We don't necessarily need all of the above resources, and I'm certainly missing a few, but these are a place to start. We probably don't want to list too many resources, as we want to emphasize the most important.
We don't want to have too many resources since that would make it harder for people to know which are the most relevant to us, so we probably want to hide
