Problems with attachments

Hello Philipp,

thank you for this nice app! I like it very much but I have problems with attachments.

The first problem are folder names with umlauts when adding an attachment (did not tested it with filenames with umlauts). Then when I try to open it (the filename is not displayed) an error message "Invalid path" pops up. By the way I would suggest to display this message longer since if it works it shows up the cache path but you can not read it so fast.

The second problem is the file path: /mnt/sdcard/keepass2android/binaries/

I can not find this path on my device even with a special file explorer (CX File Explorer) and enabled hidden files option. I find only /mnt/sdcard/ with a lot of sub directories but no keepass2android sub directory.

Did you made this directory special hidden for security reasons or do I have an understanding problem?

If I change the path to my external sd card: /storage/6884-21A5/secure/ I can not see any files in it for new added items with attachments?

But I am able to open both files: The one which I saved with the default path and the one which I saved with the new path.

I would be glad to know where I can find the attachments in the saved and/or in the cache folder. In the saved folder I want to check if they are really encrypted when the app is closed. And the cache folder I need for the case if it does not work to open the file automatically with an associated app.

Thanks

Strange: I deleted all test items and created a new one with an attachment in a folder with umlauts and now it works.

I still have problems with attachments, even they do not contain umlauts. As I have noticed, the attachments will be saved into the database. So I do not understand what the setting to set the file path should be useful for?

I changed the path back to the default value (/mnt/sdcard/keepass2android/binaries/), created a new DB (kdbx), added a pdf file to a default entry and then tried to open it (invalid path). I can extract the file to a folder and open it manually.

If I look at the start screen it will not display the word "Start" like my keypass database (kdb) do, but the path to the database with %3A instead of slashes in the path name. May be this has something to do with the problem?

My deveice: Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 7.0
