error reading vcf file

When running a standard LDJump command, I keep receiving the error "Error in readLines(file) : 'con' is not a connection". How do I remedy this error? My command is listed below:

LDJump("/path/v2-allchr-rename-IM.recode.vcf", alpha = 0.05, pathLDhat = "~/LDhat/", pathPhi = "~/PhiPack/", format = "vcf", chr = 1, out = "LDJump_IM_chr1")
