What are your system specifications and configuration?
Windows 10 Intel i5-12400F RTX 3060 16gb 2133MHz RAM
How to reproduce the issue
I've tried latest and 2nd latest versions of PoB and both produce the same error when attempting to launch it.
Character build code
I have no build loaded or imported as the error is present when it first opens from the setup exe file.
I know this doesn't fix the resulting issue shown, as it should be able to recover from an invalid path, but it is likely going to be relevant for new installs searching the error.
I was seeing the same error with 2.43.0 when trying to run a fresh install on a new computer. In my case I was able to narrow it down to Microsoft forcing OneDrive as default. It sets the userpath to OneDrive folders. When I turned it off, and uninstalled OneDrive, it didn't update some of the user shell folders.
I know you can manually move the user folders from the OneDrive folder to the correct spot and it'll update them, but something happened in my case and I couldn't. When looking at the trouble I found this post and used it to locate the bad entries.
