[REQUEST] Hide read chapters

Open hotsno opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Description An option to hide chapters that have been marked as read.

How would it improve the App? The way I would use this feature (and have used it in another app) is together with descending chapter mode. This makes it so that my next unread chapter is always at the top of the chapter list, which is what I want (and I think most others want) most of the time. Yeah, most people probably just use the "read next chapter" button, but I think having this option would still be nice.

I'd love to see this, too.

I'm unsure whether to add multiple FRs*, but in Paperback I'd love to see:

  1. Ability to hide read chapters within a title. (This FR).
  2. Ability to hide 'nothing to read' titles - where all available chapters have been read.
  3. Indication/marker for unread chapters and titles.

The first two features would provide an enormous QoL improvement, and the last is a nice-to-have. If you need items 2-3 split out into separate FRs, just let me know.

For reference, I use Tachiyomi (Android phone) and Paperback (iPad) to read from a self-hosted Komga server.

*Repo maintainers have their own preferences, and the app repo hasn't had an update since May 2022.
