[Feature Request]: Java 21 support for 1.12.2 version
Is there an existing issue for this?

Suggested Feature
When installed on 1.12.2 client or server, and use Java 17 or 21, it's will not work.
However, Such as https://github.com/CleanroomMC/Cleanroom for client, and https://github.com/HomoMC/Beast for server, work best on Java 21.
Some plugin and mod need Java 17 or above to load and work when running on 1.12.2, so, I really hope OTG support Java 21 on 1.12.2, or Java 17...

OTG requires Java 8 specifically for 1.12.2. There is a branch that attempts to build with modern versions of Java and Gradle, but it's not complete and I don't have the time to spend on finishing it
