Celestial Islands 1.0.2: Map Update

  • Rotated wooden trapdoors at spawn so that players in older versions can climb up the ladders.
  • Fixed a kit chest at obs spawn that had an incorrect pickaxe.

Celestial Islands 1.0.3: Map and XML Update

  • White Wool blocks around the map have been replaced by Mushroom blocks.
  • Wool blocks can now be placed in wool rooms.
  • Added signs to wool monuments.

My main pieces of feedback from seeing this map play so far are:

  • Players are currently able to get to the enemy team's woolrooms extremely fast, almost faster than a team can get to their own woolrooms. I would have each team's spawn properly connected to each woolroom without requiring bridging, and potentially extend the void gap between each team's side and middle in length.
  • The hotbar may benefit from having its layout changed to be more in line with most other maps, however this isn't too much of an issue with the KitRecommender plugin so it can potentially be left as is.
  • The map may benefit from having something to block the sightline between the team spawns and orange/cyan wool rooms, as at the moment both have narrow bridges that are parallel to each other which can result in a lot of people being shot off the spawn from the woolroom, and the other way around.
